1. Now there's a poll that is real.
Remember that Zogby had the numbers very close to what the Kerry-Bush breakdown was in 2004. Zogby isn't perfect; no poll is perfect. However, when I see crap like a Harris Poll cited in the Washington "Monnie" Times that says a major percent of Americans believe Saddam had WMD's, I have to wonder who the hell is being interviewed.

I was a research interviewer in the 80's, and trained others how to do it correctly. I am fascinated by the subject, although I have no academic background in it.

4. That's more like it
thanks for the link, also there are two articles in USA Today, one favorable to Granholm and the other on the bipartisan appeal of female governors.

http://www.usatoday.com/printedition/news/20060726/a_womengovsinside26.art.htm">Mich. governor faces tough battle to stay in office

http://www.usatoday.com/news/nation/2006-07-25-female-governors_x.htm">Bipartisan Appeal High For Female Governors

Also, I'm amused how the Repubs are trying to blame Granholm and the MDP for the negativity in the race when they were the first to start the trend. They will try anything to create a smokescreen for DeVos lobbying for unfair trade agreements and outsourcing, just to name a few issues.

6. I've got a bumper sticker in the back window of my car
and a sign in the window of my house. Of course, Huntington Woods is 80-90% Dem, so I'm preaching to the choir.

7. What kind of remarks are you hearing?
I'm very concerned about this election. That's all we need is a Daddy's boy for Governor.

9. I haven't gotten any remarks on my car, but it's usually parked at work
all day.

I've heard many unfavorable comments about the gov when I've been out in the field with Nancy. It's not sounding great out there. I can't wait until she really gets started -- I think she'll nail him. I saw a new DeVos commerical last night that slams the gov for negative campaigning against him. WTF? She hasn't even gotten started yet. I think he just threw the first salvo in that war with this new one.

12. I don't think people understand how close the state came to bankruptcy
She walked into a state in which the previous governor gave everything away before he left office. We were on the verge of bankruptcy. Everyone had to make sacrifices to get by.

The Google news and GM's recent swing toward recovery is good for Michigan in general, so it should be good for the Governor.

15. how Devos and Amway screw MI workers
Tell all your friends, FREQUENTLY

According to Amway, their annual sales amounts to about $7 billion and there are 3 million distributors. Thus, the average distributor's sales amounts to about $2,333/yr. If 30% of that is profit, the average distributor makes $700/yr.

and

In the United States, the Federal Trade Commission requires Amway to label its products with the message that 54% of Amway recruits make nothing and the rest earn on average $65 a month. No such labels are required in other countries, but the facts are clear. Most people who get involved in Amway will not make money.

Before Voss can offer a good deal to Michigan, he ought offer a good deal to his own customers
