Normie voted "no" on the bailout bill
So much for his great concern about keeping the Ford plant in St. Paul open.

1. Hypocrite
Norm Coleman makes pitch to keep Ford plant open
Kevin Diaz

Minneapolis Star Tribune

The senator urged the company to reexamine the St. Paul plant's potential, noting that, with gas prices soaring, sales of the more fuel-efficient Ranger made there were up during the first five months of the year.

WASHINGTON -- With auto manufacturers cutting back production of large SUVs and pickup trucks, Sen. Norm Coleman sees a new lease on life for the St. Paul plant that builds more fuel-efficient Ford Rangers.

The Minnesota Republican called on the Ford Motor Co. today to reexamine its decision to close the plant in St. Paul's Highland Park neighborhood, noting that sales of the Ford Ranger increased during the first five months of this year.

8. That was before the election.
You can't hold him responsible for anything he said then. :sarcasm:

3. I'm not hot for Franken, but now I really hope he wins...
Even Ford has said they would try to hold off longer re: the bailout. That shows responsibility. I'd rather have tax dollars go to them than General Mush... (I never liked the Pontiac I owned... especially after the spark plug popped out.)

6. You mean Mr. Bipartisan?
One way or another, Normie's gotta go.

What's with Harry Reid?! (Guess I need to start reading some other threads...why is he a No?)

7. Someone said it was more a procedural vote once he knew the 'Pukes were going to kill it
Apparently, it's easier (or maybe only possible) to reconsider the same bill (I think without it having to go through the House again) if someone who voted against it brings it up again. So Reid went to the dark side so there would be someone who can do that. It's one of those odd Senate rules.
