Klobuchar was on Stephanie Miller this morning practically gushing
about all the "good stuff" in the Insurance Company Protection Act. Now I know it's even worse than I thought.

And then Stephanie nearly caused me to stroke out by referring to Amy as a "progressive". :wtf:

1. Boycott
Since a previous post already established that AM950 and owner Janet Robert are not progressive and you now don't think Amy, and by extension Stephanie, are progressive (they both are, but that is a debate for another time I am not going to engage in now)I don't see what other choice you have than not to listen to that station anymore. After all, many people on this board have called for boycotts of businesses simply because they disagree with the owners political beliefs.

2. Amy Klobuchar is a closet Blue Dog
it wasn't too long ago there were reports of her paling around with Evan Bayh and his crowd. She's also been very friendly with Liebermann.

That, and it's been impossible to pin her down about what her position on HCR is. The strongest stand she has taken is to come out against texting while driving.

3. Your Right
You mean she is "friendly" with people for the other party. What was I thinking. Lets impeach the bitch and put her runner up Mark Kennedy in there. I'm sure he will be real progressive.

4. Ford Bell was challenging her for endorsement
but he was fighting both the state and national parties as well as the DSCC. He was a real progressive.

Klobuchar is just another moderate Republican who calls herself a Democrat because she wouldn't get anywhere with the Republicans. And, she's a hell of a lot friendlier with the other party than either she or her staff is with her constituents. One of the things that completely turned me off her was the hostility of her campaign workers toward anyone who was supporting Bell before he dropped out of the race. I've never run into that during any other endorsement races. She really has surrounded herself with an arrogant bunch of assholes.

6. One of Klobuchar's staffers was at a health care town hall organized by
Frank Horenstein and Scott Dibble and heavily weighted toward the single payer crowd, both speakers and attendees. (Hey, it was held in Uptown.)

Klobuchar's staffer was one of many political staffers who attended the meeting but the ONLY one to leave immediately after so that no one could talk to her one-to-one.

7. We need a good progressive candidate to run against Amy in 2012
We need to start now to find a good, electable candidate to run against Amy in 2012. In my opinion, she has really sold us out on the health care issue. I noticed that with her amendments she tried to take care of the already wealthy and to the rest of us, she threw stale crumbs. How about a breast cancer prevention program for a stale crumb in a bill that won't even include affordable, quality health care for many women? Klobuchar is the most cruel Democratic Minnesota senator I've ever seen. She disagraces us.

I'm want to start right now to start working against her. Ideas anyone?

9. Not in your wildest dreams would I call her a progressive

That bill should be considered illegal under RICO.
