Tom Emmer: "Vote for me or I'll sue you"
Besides Tom Emmer's Neanderthal politics, this guy sounds like a First Rate Asshole all around:

http://www.startribune.com/politics/state/96851329.html

Tom Emmer has earned a reputation for political brawling in his six years as a legislator at the Capitol.

But far from the political stage, the lawyer and GOP-endorsed candidate for governor has engaged in personal legal fights with more ordinary foes, including a former office manager, a tree farmer, a law partner and a Minnesota county. One dispute generated an ethics complaint and another an accusation that he placed a law partner's belongings outside his office.

1. The First Minnesota is rolling in their graves...
http://thesamerowdycrowd.wordpress.com/2010/06/20/a-nut-too-far-emmer-for-nullification/

R U Kidding me? The First Minnesota veterans would roll over in their graves. Might rise up still.

Republicans — are you serious? Is this what you advocate?

It will be interesting to see how journalists treat Emmer now. If he came out for slavery, say, or came out saying national clean-air and -water standards should be nullified — what would journalists say about him? “Tom Emmer, the Republican nominee for governor who thinks the Union should be disbanded..” Or “Tom Emmer, the Republican nominee for governor who thinks the Constitution is quaint and outdated…”

Hubert Humphrey told his party in 1948 that it was time “to get out of the shadow of states’ rights and walk forthrightly into the bright sunshine of human rights.”

What will Republicans tell Emmer? You go, boy? Are there no consequences for letting batshit-crazy troglodytes run wild with the Party of Lincoln?

Well sure there are, the consequence is that they reward you with a nomination!

3. Wingnut Teabagger blogger Mitch Berg defends Tom "Sue Me" Emmer
But that's not surprising, coming from someone who defended Tom and Drew Emmer's favorite charity, Bradlee Dean's execute-the-gays group You Can Run But You Cannot Hide. Read about it on the execrable Look True North:

What's next from this mealy-mouthed loser, a spirited defense of BP?

5. "What's next from this mealy-mouthed loser, a spirited defense of BP?"
Nah, though I bet he's REALLY pissed that Bachmann beat him to it.

The OP says Emmer had gotten into it with "a former office manager, a tree farmer, a law partner and a Minnesota county."
OK, I can understand the office manager, law partner, and maybe even a dispute with a county over something. But a tree farmer? Now that's where I draw the line. That's just going too far. What the heck does Emmer have against tree farmers anyway?

Emmer sounds like a real whack-a-doodle. IOW, a perfect nominee for Governor from the party that brought us Bachmann.

4. Brain abnormality?
Sometimes folks in the early stages of Alzheimer's will act as goofy as Emmer acts. I wonder if there is something wrong with the guy's brain. And what about those who support him like Laura Brod, Carol Kill Em on Bridges Molnau, Rod Brams, etc.?

7. Emmer

He was pretty disparaging about the "rural" people of MN too. Rather dismissive. That should go over well on the Iron Range.
