Tom Emmer's ties to anti-gay organization and homophobic leader is troubling for Minnesotans

ST. PAUL (June 24, 2010) - Tom Emmer recently came under fire for his ties to the organization You Can Run But You Can't Hide International, and its leader Bradlee Dean who has equated homosexuals with pedophiles and encouraged his followers to stand up and "enforce God's laws" on their own. When asked to address his relationship with Dean and his organization, Emmer simply said "these are good people."

"Is Tom Emmer kidding? Good people indeed," said DFL spokesperson Donald McFarland. "Tom Emmer stood up for a man who called members of the GLBT community predators, who has encouraged violence against homosexuals and would like to impose his narrow-minded beliefs on the whole of America. It doesn't get more bigoted or extreme than that, and Tom Emmer once again is there standing up for these right-wing beliefs. It's shameful."

Tom Emmer has contributed money to You Can Run But You Can't Hide International, done interviews with and been a guest in the home of the organization's leader, Bradlee Dean.

The DFL released a You Tube video on the shameful company Tom Emmer keeps:

1. Yesterday, Emmer's pals Brad and Jake doubled down on the bigotry
The had anti-homosexual crack-pot Paul Cameron on their show:

http://dumpbachmann.blogspot.com/2010/06/audio-paul-cameron-bradlee-dean-talk.html

Paul Cameron tells Bradlee Dean and his sidekick Jake that homosexuals spread diseases, seduce children, rape soldiers, are more likely to commit violent crimes than heterosexuals and other stuff.

Cameron doesn't think sexuality is a private matter. Cameron says he's worried that homosexuality and contraception will create a shortage of women "doing their duty" to produce children in Europe and "the West". Cameron says the collapse of "Western Civilization" will be the result.

Reporters should ask GOP candidates with close ties to Bradlee Dean; Tom Emmer, Teresa Collett, and Michele Bachmann if they agree that women should be forced to breed.

Bradlee Dean says "homosexuality is a threat to the church" and "we are not gay-bashing, we are enforcing the laws".

Bradlee Dean spent much of the second hour reading some of Paul Cameron's bogus "research". Bradlee Dean also said homosexuals are "at war with God" and are "anti-God".

2. From what I've been reading it's not Gays in the military who are raping soldiers
but I imagine a Neanderthal like Emmer would think female soldiers are "asking for it" because they're in a war zone and their rapists are just "boys being boys".
