Michele Bachmann backs out of "meet and greet"

She's afraid to appear in her own district. Please donate to her opponent at www.tarrylclark.com .

http://www.sctimes.com/article/20101015/NEWS01/11015002...

"Bachmann, R-Stillwater, was scheduled to have a public meet-and-greet event at Ciatti’s Ristorante this afternoon, the St. Cloud Area Chamber of Commerce announced Thursday.

Hours after the initial announcement, the Chamber moved the event to its office and said it was open to Chamber members only.

By Thursday evening, the event was canceled after Bachmann’s office determined she had a scheduling conflict, Chamber President Teresa Bohnen said.

Bachmann is locked in a nationally visible re-election battle with DFL candidate Tarryl Clark, the Independence Party’s Bob Anderson and independent candidate Aubrey Immelman."

I'd like to think it is because my comments on an earlier article scared her.

1. "Scheduling conflict" the all purpose of excuse of politicians who don't want
to give the public a chance to hold them accountable.

Unless, of course, she had set aside time to sort her sock drawer that night.

10. So any politician that says "it is only the big CofC" doesn't know anything.
It is pretty much all of the CofCs. I have witnessed this is two small cities over the last 8 years.

7. She is in a battle
Tarryl Clark is the toughest opponent she has had. Tarryl is working day after day, hour after hour, voter after voter. Tarryl Clark has raised more than 3 million dollars for this fight. An amazing figure.

And I'm just one of thousands of volunteers who are knocking on doors. And I've heard, "Epilepsy is an important issue to me. Tarryl would meet with me to talk about it." "I voted for Bachmann last time, but I've been reading about Tarryl and this time I'm voting for her." "Tarryl worked for Habitat? I'm voting for her." And the list I had was "independent" voters.

9. It would be so sweet to see Bachmann go down
since she's sort of the Queen of the Tea Partiers.

11. Have you ever noticed that they technically never go down? They just get jobs
as fundraisers, public speakers, hosts on tv shows, news "analysts for Fox", etc....
She will always have a job as long as she never gets jail time. And even then.......
They never go away!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
