I will not set up an official meeting until I get a general consensus on what the best day and time is. I want total group participation-this will not be a dictatorship! I hope that maybe someone here is surfing around,catches this and follows the link. I would like to have a diverse group of people join and I hope that it is a great experience for all.

2. I really hope so.

I think that this area has the potential to have an excellent group-it is now just getting the word out. I plan on contacting various groups at CMSU about it(poli-sci dept, nursing dept, education dept, NAACP, gay and lesbian groups). I also plan to make flyers and place them around town. I would like to add a few at the high school too-get 'em while they're young! I am hoping for a decent group, but this county was nearly at 70% for Bush in the last election so I just don't know.

3. It's a university community

so there's bound to be lots of liberal educators there. :)

4. That's what I thought.

But some of my coworkers (and my brother) complain about how conservative the professors are. A history teacher used his class time to campaign for Bush/Cheney and convince others that libs are evil.

I plan on getting flyers out w/in the week. Then we will see.

I LOVE my Meetup group. I have met really cool people who see the same truths I do. It is inspiring to see the determination on their faces when we discuss 2006 and local politics. It is SO COOL! Welcome to the club! You're gonna love it!
