MO Republicans claim abortion causes illegal immigration

This week, Missouri state Representative Ed Emery (R-Lamar, MO) inserted language into a special committee report on immigration claiming abortion as the cause of illegal immigration. Nine other legislators signed the report! It's outrageous! They need to hear from you about it.

When questioned by the media, Rep. Emery proudly defended the report which partially blames illegal immigration on abortion, saying that it has caused a shortage of American workers.

It appears that Rep. Emery inserted the controversial language without committee discussion and six members of the committee refused to sign the final report, but the fact that 10 Missouri legislators signed on is shocking.

Let these elected officials know that they have gone too far!
