Lee Terry is going to be on Colbert Report! |
|
Or at least he's doing the second district tonight. I'll update after I see it.

1. It was even better than I had hoped! |
|
He looked like a God damn idiot. First Colbert was talking about the meat industry and making sexual innuendos about meat, which Terry seemed completely oblivious to. Then he was talking about hydrogen fuel, which apparently Lee is an advocate of and Stephen was kidding him about how the nazis used hydrogen in their zeppelins and Terry looked fairly stupid on that one to, saying he supported the nazis aims as far as alternative energy was involved (or something similar) Does he always talk like he's just north of retarded?

He has nothing good to say. Every time he opens his mouth crap comes out. Its like he is talking with his ass. He is so party line Repub it is pathetic. I'm not sure I've ever heard him express an original thought. His brother Jeff Fortenberry is no better.

8. Lee Terry is a MORON... |
|
That said, you do realize that what is you see is NOWHERE NEAR how the interview went? Colbert spends about 2 hours interviewing people and cuts and pastes things that don't even resemble the original conversation (i.e. Space Ghost: Coast to Coast).
However, Colbert probably would not have needed to cut and paste anything for Terry to look like an idiot.

Lee Terry was #93 out of 95 in his law class.

But I think quirky commercials aren't going to work... Thompson's ads were just too poor last year because they weren't serious. Jim needs to present to Omahans why he is a viable alternative to Lee Terry.

I agree with the other poster that he needs serious commercials. The democratic party is almost not taken seriously in this state and he needs to look as professional as possible and still come off as a normal guy.

6. I saw Lee Terry shopping on Saturday. |
|
I didn't have the guts to go up and say anything to him though I wanted too. I assume that he is hard core Bush, but I didn't feel educated enough on his voting positions over the last few Congressional sessions. This may be an inherent problem with other voters in Nebraska. Many of us don't take the time to educate ourselves about the way our politicians represent us. I'm not proud of it and this is just my observation.
I think the only way to rectify the situation is educate as many people as possible. Dave Sund and his group are doing their part with his personal blog and the UNO Democrat group. Thanks Dave.
