WTF?? Johanns gains labor union endorsements

Republican Senate nominee Mike Johanns won endorsement Wednesday from three labor unions.

The blanket endorsement came from the Nebraska United Association of Plumbing, Pipefitting and Sprinkler Fitters International Unions.

“We know he’ll fight for affordable, quality health care, educational opportunities and an energy plan that will lower fuel costs,” said David Nystrom, business manager for Plumbers Local 16.

These are both trade unions, which are traditionally more conservative than labor unions. But after working 15 years as a union rep and organizer, I can tell you that these unions are probably representing their own members wishes. Most union members in Nebraska vote Republican as they are simply a reflection of the general population.

Don't even get me started on how labor unions treat their own employees!
