Last 9 days of the campaign, GOTV. And Omaha dems are begging for

help with canvassing and the phone bank.

Any locals need to go out to the Obama Headquarters on 76th and Cass and sign up. We ask and ask and ask but there are VERY few takers and the last 9 days are considered VITAL.

1. What about the students @ UNO?

2. There are a LOT of young people helping out. They're very motivated.

But it's hard to get anyone to canvas. And other than Tuesday night it's been pretty bare in there at the phone bank. I've only been able to get two people to agree to volunteer in all the people I've called and I don't know if they even followed through on it.

I'm just amazed that after 2000 and 2004 that more people aren't helping out. We know how it can go. And with the electoral votes for Omaha/Lincoln up for grabs, it means a lot.

edit: Just to add that the campaign is opening a few new satellite offices for the push during GOTV. In South Omaha, downtown on 16th, out in West O.

3. I had planned to help out but am on the road too much lately.

I remember a bunch of Nebraskans coming over to Council Bluffs in 04 to help us. I thought I'd return the favor but I'm 400 miles away now. Hopefully, I can get back in time to do make a difference.
