Anyone want to get together over the holidays in the Vegas valley?

Something small.
Something fun and social to start.

I am thinking - thinking only - of getting involved again. I've been trying to stay away from politics for awhile so as not to injure my health after these last few disappointing cycles.

Maybe we can do it slowly and painlessly if we start early and take just one bite out of the elephant at a time. I've noticed that there are a few of us here. It would be a shame if we at least didn't try to take this state and country back.

I plan on devoting less time to work from now on - but that's another story.

Maybe we CAN make a difference.
Maybe we can be the ones that with the efforts of others can rebuild our party from the ground up.

I am not happy with the current crop of candidates, from Reid on down, with the exception of Shelley, who I think is doing a decent job and actually speaks well and is not afraid to do so.

Just my 2 cents.

[The Straight Story]

1. I will be in Vegas area in december

I am heading to chicago to work in mid december and then driving from there to California around the 17th. I will be stopping off in vegas probably for a night on the way to or from, not sure which yet.

My main focus now is to watch legislation on thomas.loc.gov, but with mom in the hospital I have been sort of out of it. Then I have these trips coming up so I am not overly involved in things and won't be until the new year.

I am working on my own data base for things but that has taken a back seat until Janurary sometime. I hope to keep track of a lot of things and make it available to some folks here for research. If all goes well and I get things kicking like I hope by Feb 1 I should be good to go. Drop me an email if the dates listed are a decent time to hook up.
