Looking for your guidence/opinions!!! |

It's looking like my Rep., Paul Hodes, may vote for the war funding that is coming before Congress in the next couple of weeks. To me, this is a major betrayal and a sign that Hodes paid only lip service to the peace community during this last election. I am inclined to start looking for a candidate to oppose him next time around. I don't know where Shea-Porter is on this and I'd love to know what others think. I have to be honest, I'm really pissed at all of these folks for the bobing and weaving that they are doing as our kids continue to die. What can these folks be thinking???

I'm in - I'm in his district and I'll let him know that I will vote against him in the primaries based on his voting for the war appropriations bill. Here: http://hodes.house.gov/

2. Great idea! I sent him an email today |

through his website (the one you posted). I basically said that if he voted for the latest proposed funding of the war I would have to reconsider my support of him next time around. He needs to hear from us and if he doesn't listen, we need to start looking for another candidate!

have a much bigger impact if you organize LOTS of people to call Hode's office and tell him that you don't want him to vote for the war funding. Stage a demonstration at his office in Concord. Have a press conference, write letters to the editor. The key is to organize. There is strength, and power in numbers.
NH Peace Action's office in Concord is right accross the street from Hodes Concord office. I'm thinking they might be willing to help. Better still - organize enough people to have simultaneous actions in front of all Hodes offices.
Let Congressman Hodes know that you have every intention of holding him accountable, just as you did Charlie Bass.
