Any vandalism where you are?
In Conway, the Democratic Party office is on the left side of a movie theater, and the Republican office is on the right side of the same theater. Last week, a volunteer went to open the Dem office, and found the lock had been superglued. People going in have been harassed by a veteran hanging around in front of the Republican office. After 2 letters to the editor, the veteran seems to have disappeared.

Then of course, there are the sign wars. There is some vandalism, but mostly it's outright theft. I drove from Rye to Conway after the Michael Moore event on Thursday, and saw very few Kerry signs on Rt 16, because they've all been stolen.

Is anyone else having trouble with this stuff? Is anyone NOT having trouble?

1. Some cars turned over
some arrests, one inocent bystander shot to death by police.
But we still love the Red Sox.

2. I saw a few Kerry-Edwards signs disappear one day, but most
...were put back up in no time. Only one gigantic B-C sign on someone's front yard (the biggest I've seen on private property here) was vandalized with spray paint, and that disheartened me a bit. We should NOT behave like these uncivilized scoundrels!

6. that's terrible
benito. It's a shame this kind of story isn't getting more media airplay. These thugs will stop at nothing.

4. My neighbor had paint smeared on his Kerry bumper sticker
(as well as his car!)

I'm old enough to remember the 1st Bush administration/gulf war. If there's one thing a Bush is really good at, is bringing out the worst, rather than the best in people. The exact opposite of a good leader.

7. I saw 1 spray painted over sign in downtown Keene today.
But it was only a Bush/Cheney sign. I also saw lots and lots of Kerry campaign workers out in the town square with signs. I saw no one out for Bush.
