VOTE for Justice and Peace Rally
Friday, Oct. 29, Noon

State House, Concord New Hampshire

Country rock performer Steve Earle will headline a “Vote for Justice and Peace” rally at the State House steps in Concord from noon to 1 PM, Friday, October 29.

In addition to Steve Earle, speakers will include Nancy Lessin and Charley Richardson, founders of Military Families Speak Out.

Charlie King, known nationwide for his topical songs, will perform.

The non-partisan rally is co-sponsored by several area organizations, including the American Friends Service Committee, NH Peace Action Education Fund, NH Citizens Alliance, the Free Radical, NH Veterans for Peace, and the League of Women Voters of the Greater Capital Area.

Steve Earle, who performs that night at the Capital Center for the Arts, is a well known speaker and writer in addition to his career as a songwriter and country rock musician. His latest album, “The Revolution Starts Now,” contains several great anti-war songs, including “Home to Houston” and “Rich Man’s War.” For information about his concert, go to: http://www.ccanh.com/perf_tickets/order_form.php?id=294.

For more information, call the AFSC-NH Office at (603) 224-2407 or e-mail: aalpert@afsc.org.

Flyers will be available soon at www.afsc.org/nh and www.nhpeaceaction.org. You can also pick them up at the AFSC/Peace Action office in Concord.
