AP: More National Guard going to Iraq to "fight terrorism"
:wtf: kind of framing is this?

CONCORD, N.H. (AP) — More National Guard members from New Hampshire are headed to Iraq.

A ceremony is planned for Saturday afternoon at the Concord Armory for about 20 soldiers who could be deployed for up to 18 months. The soldiers, from various units, are deploying as part the 2nd Brigade, 28th Infantry Division, a unit of the Pennsylvania Army National Guard.

About 175 New Hampshire Guard members are deployed in the global war against terrorism.

1. They're being sacrificed to Shrub's Folly

Hopefully only losing money and delayed careers and not their lives or limbs.

3. once upon a time
Fosters Daily Democrat was actually a fairly good paper. But that was a long time ago. They really should change it to Foster's Daily NeoCon Spew.

I had a battle with the editor of their sister paper the Laconia Citizen, recently, as a result of an extremely sanitized story they published on a town hall meeting held by Congressman Jeb Bradley, in Moultonborough. The story failed to comment on the protesters present that night, the angry mood of most of the people present, or the fact that at least twice the crowd actually laughed in the face of their Congressman. Instead, the writer chose to present the talking points she got from Bradley, and use a few quotes that weren't too edgy from the audience. I heard that same reporter laughing with one of the county commissioners about how they used to be Democrats.

NH media really sucks.
