Sullivan Introduces Lobbying Reform Legislation
MANCHESTER- State Rep. Peter Sullivan (D-Manchester) has filed legislation to reform New Hampshire's lobbying laws and rein in the power of special interests in government.
Sullivan's measure would prohibit state legislators and other government officials from lobbying for a period of one year after leaving office.
"Public officials should not be allowed to trade access for money" said Sullivan. "By closing the revolving door between government service and special interest lobbying, we can help ensure that the public's voice is not drowned out by a chorus of well-paid, politically connected insiders."
Rep. Sullivan is a candidate for Congress in New Hampshire's first district. he has made government ethics reform a major part of his campaign to unseat Jeb Bradley.

No. No corn roasts. However, under subparagraph II, section B, weenie roasts are still permitted. Marshmallows may be roasted, however, any use of chocolate and/or graham crackers to construct a smore shall neccessitate the filing of a supplementary statement with the Secretary of State.
Why do I have a feeling that this is what the bill will look like once Mike Whalley and Billy O'Brien get their hands on it? :banghead:
