Warren Dems Endorse Wolfe
From the Warren County Democratic Committee...

Warren County Democrats endorse Wolfe for Congress

BELVIDERE (May 4, 2004) - The Warren County Democratic Committee
announced Monday night at a special meeting that it is endorsing Anne Wolfe in the
June primary election as the representative for the NJ 5th District in Congress.
Wolfe, of Mahwah, was overwhelmingly selected by the committee over Frank
Fracasso, a resident of Green Township (Sussex).
"We feel that Anne is an excellent candidate," said Warren County
Democratic chair, Roger Hines. "Anne represents the mainstream of the 5th District.
She will represent the interests of all the people here."
Wolfe was previously endorsed by the Bergen County Democratic Committee
and the National Women's Political Caucus.
It was reportedly the first time that the Warren County Democrats chose
to endorse a candidate in a primary. It was the first time in years that two
Democratic candidates have vied for one Congressional seat.
"The county committee felt that it was important to have our voices
heard," said Hines. "Both candidates were given opportunities to speak at various
events in the county over the past few months. Both of the candidates have
their good points, but the committee felt strongly that Anne has more to offer in
terms of her experience. She is the one, they felt, who can make an impact in
November. We are confident that she can defeat Scott Garrett."

1. Dean Endorses Wolfe
Anne Wolfe

I am honored to have been selected by Governor Dean and DFA for
inclusion in the Dean Dozen. As a long-standing member and civic
activist in the League of Women Voters, I have always believed in the
power of grassroots organization, which I have been a part of all of
my adult life. The energy and patriotism that Governor Dean's
campaign inspired have awakened Democrats and others to the reality
that this nation belongs to the people - not to special interests,
corporate profiteers, or religious extremists - and that only when
the people stand up and demand to be counted can they take their
country back.

I am also grateful for the support of New Jersey for Democracy, the
local Dean-inspired grassroots organization, which is actively
supporting my campaign. Together, we can and will defeat one of the
most radical right-wing members of Congress - my opponent, 5th
District Freshman Representative Scott Garrett.

My opponent may have the support of groups like the Club for Growth
and the Traditional Values Coalition. He also has gobs of money from
other right-wing groups. But with the support of DFA, and its
incredible network of true patriots, I feel more confident than ever
that we will win the campaign to defeat the Republican Right-wing
extremist agenda. I am so grateful for your help in taking back our
nation and our Democracy to its roots of, for and by the people. To

you so much.

- Anne Wolfe
