NJ moves up Primary in 2008!!! |
|
This is from the Star-Ledger" The 2008 presidential primary will take place the final Tuesday of February, just before the 10-state "Super Tuesday." Historically, the state picked its presidential candidates in June when most primaries are wrapped up. "We are one of the nation's bellwether states, yet in presidential primary politics we are virtually nonexistent," said Assemblywoman Linda Greenstein (D-Mercer), a co-sponsor of the bill. "New Jersey deserves better. They deserve to have their voices heard when it comes to national politics."
Yay! our state matters now in the primaries!

But of course 2008 will be the first time that the nominee will not be decided until June because of how close the race will be. Would be typical Jersey luck!!!
