Palast said 1 in 9 New Mexico Democrats provisional |
|
Does anyone know if the info in the Rolling Stone article (1 out of 9 New Mexico democrats had to fill out a provisional ballot in the Primaries.)is still applicable as there is potential for fraud if 12% of the Democratic vote can be suppressed?

1. Hopefully more people will do early voting so as to avoid |
|
the provisional ballot issue. I think during early voting a potential voter would find out in person the status of their voting registration. Or that's how it's supposed to work. I voted early on Thursday and it was a simple, quick process.

2. That's a reason I voted early |

yesterday. What I'd like to know, though, is if a voter is offered a provisional ballot at early election, would it be possible to refuse it, leave the polling place, and try to get one's registration cleared and reinstated correctly before returning to vote?

3. Me too. Yes, I think so about contesting the provisional. |

That's the advantage to voting early. The voter gets more personal detailed information about their voting status. You might check with the S Fe County Clerk's office though.... or perhaps an informed person with the Obama campaign.
