Val Kilmer expected at the White House Correspondents' dinner tonight

Washington-Who's coming to dinner?

The Swamp, Chicago Tribune

In the social-register's equivalent of water torture (enhanced technique), we've been dribbling out the names of some of the celeb-media guests expected at the White House Correspondents' dinner Saturday night -- Sarah and Todd Palin, guests of FOX News, Ben Afleck and Colin Powell, guests of CBS, Kristi Yamaguchi, guest of the BBC.

Bloomberg News, always good for a lavish hospitality suite, will bring Alabama Maersk Capt. Richard Phillips and wife Andrea Phillips -- arrggggggh.

The Houston Chronicle, former Attorney General Alberto Gonzales, as we noted earlier today, with credit to The Sleuth.

The Wall Street Journal crew had better check their cravats, because they are bringing designer Jason Wu, a favorite of the first lady.

Not to be outdone, CNN pulls Ashton Kutcher, Demi Moore, Val Kilmer, Kyra Sedgwick, Brad Cooper, Tyra Banks and Homeland Security's Napolitano -- note which name is last.

ABC News pulls Obama adviser David and Susan Axelrod; Rahm Emanuel, White House Chief of Staff, Peter Orszag, Director of the Office of Management and Budget, Valerie Jarrett, senior presidential advisor, Leon Panetta, CIA Director; Susan Rice, UN Ambassador; Justice Antonin Scalia, Meghan McCain and , oh, Jon and Dorothea Bon Jovi.
