I'm looking for some way to do something about this disaster ~ I just heard Gen. Honore on CNN tell citizens to come on down that what Chertoff is saying, blaming security issues on the lack of help, is BS!! He asked a reporter if she had any problem with security and she said 'no'. Then he walked off the stage as Chertoff tried to contradict him about people coming to help.

I wonder if there are any people from NY organizing people going there. The devastation is widespread and they can't seem to get to everyone, with the military and NG mostly out of the country ~ the Gen. seemed to be asking ordinary people to go there and do what they can to help.

If NO teach us anything it's how important they are. So few people even here bother with our upcoming elections, it's pathetic.
