Can someone explain to me why Cuomo is the frontrunner for AG? |

I'm no fan of Cuomo, and I'll only vote for him because I hate Pirro more (and I say that as a Westchester resident.) Can someone explain to me why we got such crappy candidates in the first place? Spitzer's coattails are keeping him afloat against Pirro, combined with Pirro hurting herself with her disastorous Senate bid (where's page 10?) This race would be very close right now if not for the combination of those two factors. We had a good candidate in Denise O'Donnell, a Buffalo resident who worked for the Clinton Justice Department. She would have mopped the floor with Pirro, and having an Upstater on the ticket would have helped. If Cuomo wins and continues to act as his pompous self, then I will support a primary challenge to him in 2010, or write in one. And yes I know that Green, Maloney, and King are running, but neither of them have a chance of winning the nomination. They have as much of a chance as Suozzi does of becoming our Gubernatorial nominee (Suozzi can go fuck himself with the way that he helped Faso attack Spitzer in the debate. I wouldn't be surprised if he endorses Faso after the primary.)

3. Machine politics as usual |

Unfortunately this race is shaping up to be Cuomo vs. Pirro. I'm going to abstain if Cuomo continues doing well in the polls. I plan on voting for Sean Maloney in the primary.

I don't know that I can forgive Cuomo for what he pulled in the primary with Carl McCall, insuring that we'd get four more years of Pataki.
Of course he'll win the primary and I'll vote for him in the general election 'cause I'm a good dem. It'll still be a happy day 'cause we'll have elected Spitzer.

5. Because it's the party machine man. Like Hillary. |

I am sick of him too. When they asked him in 2000 (right after the theft) if his known name would be of help he answered "Look who's in the White House" I despise him ever since.
