Massa concedes
Edited on Thu Nov-16-06 07:57 PM by PATRICK
Now that the direction of the count is certain, if incomplete, Massa has graciously conceded in the spirit of his positive campaign principles, no mention of the last minute sandbagging by the GOP(unlike Davis who certainly has the right to).

A 60,000 vote registration advantage evaporated and if we were short on anything it would have to be an even more extraordinary number of volunteers. The GOP was long on lies, dependent on provoking cheap rage, poisonous in areas that hurt our outreach, and in the very last day illegal and harassing in robocalls. The vulnerable nature of the American voter is something that is abused and played and hard for an honest man to reach without penalties for the same. Yet we almost did it.

One thing though, if Massa or Wes Clark need my services in the future they got them and I intend to up the time and quality and get into volunteer recruitment.

The GOP would be wise to cut Kuhl loose since being mainly a Bush/Cheney hack and a lobbyist schmoozer his status is in immediate devaluation until 2008. I expect whoever the GOP nominee is(and after kissing Pataki's losing shoes he will have plenty of saliva for whoever) will find this growth clinging to his legs looking for a new new master and new ideas on how to cheat. A money drain cliffhanger in a safe district? The GOP keeps this up and they will be protecting the last few schmucks as their red havens turn blue.

My personal thanks and admiration for Eric Massa. It was an honor and a privilege to be in this campaign.
