CLEVELAND -- Sixteen polling locations in Cuyahoga County will stay open until 9 p.m., a federal judge ruled Tuesday night.
U.S. District Judge Dan A. Polster made the ruling at about 6:45 p.m. after the Ohio Democratic party filed a lawsuit to keep polling locations open late, NewsChannel5 reported.
That means no votes will be counted until 9 p.m.
The sixteen locations include four that did not open until about 7 a.m. and 12 that had numerous delays getting voters through the process.
Cuyahoga elections chief Michael Vu said that the board was notifying poll workers to continue operating until 9 p.m.
