2 of 4 machines down at my poll today |
|
Four troubleshooters were there trying to get them going again. What's happening in the rest of Ohio?

I get to vote in white suburbia with whitey.
Was issue 1 really removed from the voting in the last days?

3. Yes, they didn't have enough signatures. |

The stripper law stands for now. Housewives across Ohio can rest peacefully.
It's snow white suburbia here as well. I heard this afternoon that the power went out, and with it the machines. Two of them wouldn't reboot.

4. I'm ready for the big one |
|
Our mayor's race could be interesting. The mayor (R) won by 12 votes in the last election. I think our ward will go republican. Unfortunately, we just added a big McMansion addition to it. Almost every house there had republican signs in the yard.
The big issue here is a school levy. We have to pass it or our district will go down the tubes.

5. they were only using 2 of the 4 machines at my polling place, too |
|
I'm wondering if it's just because of anticipated light turnout, they want to see if they can get by with only having to validate the results from two machines instead of four.

They still would have to validate the unused machines, wouldn't they? You never can tell how BOE people think.
I was surprised at how many were at the polls at the same time I was there. It had to be a fluke that so many arrived at the same time. Then the four troubleshooters added to the crowd. It was surreal.

The problems are going to multipy as the machines age.

9. that's kinda what I'm afraid of. |
|
I know when I worked the primary in '06, I thought the machines were kinda flimsy. It also worried me that you had to be so careful of things like how you pull the electrical cord out - or it would yank out the prongs in the machine.... You know some election workers after a 12+ hour day of working with the public, checking ids, etc., are gonna just be tired and forget to place one hand on the machine, one hand on the cord and pull straight out....

11. Mystery power outage in my county for hours |
|
prelude...
Look guys, I went through the worst of the worst in 2000 and 2004. I trust NO ONE from the side of the R's...if they cannot rig the machines, then they will have their minions take the power down (AEP anyone)..or WHATEVER it takes...hazmat spill on the 70-71 split/270 E N S W side interhcnages...any way they can.
I put NOTHING Past them..nothing at all. I am not a freak nor a conspiracy theorist...I go by gut and what I saw...and am tainted FOREVER by what I personally witnessed those years.

10. Ballot in Chagrin Falls excluded candidates ! When the BOE was called, they did not |
|
understand the problem, got snippy, and said we would have to wait until January because they were dealing with a re-call election.
Cuyahoga County still can't get it right.
