what about Sebulius, native daughter of Ohio, for VP? |
|
Now Governor of Kansas, I think she would be ideal. Does she not want it, perhaps? Is it a perception thing? I think it will be disconcerting for those white blue collar voters Hillary was talking about, to see a white guy as a second; do the strategists think it would make Obama look weak to have a woman? I think maybe it would prove he's strong; willing to make the tough, right decisions.
Any thoughts?

2. I think it would be a good pick |
|
not great - but I don't really know what great is.
I felt stronger about her helping in Ohio when I saw the fracture in the party and thought she could bring some organizational help - even tho she is now from Kansas, she could still garner some local support and effort. But now that I see the ground game the Obama campaign has in Ohio, I think we will be okay organizationally.
She would definitely be a better pick than some that have been mentioned recently - like Bayh.

3. I sometimes think I think too much about the work and not the strategy |

Sebulius is a good soldier and amazingly competent, in a very unassuming way. I can't figure out the strategy, per se, of picking a VP, except it has to be someone trusted implicitly by the President, and she would qualify in that way, too.
