Evidently, Oliver Willis will be doing a "Tom Coburn" watch. www.oliverwillis.com. Would it be a good idea to get these "moments" to your newspapers? Would enough of them make an impression on any of the Coburn voters? Not being from OK, I leave it to you.
www.oliverwillis.com......(Feb 7, 2005)
Moments With Tom "Moonbat" Coburn Submitted by Oliver Willis on Mon, 02/07/2005 - 10:49am. Starting out our new feature, chronicling the crazy Republican senator from Oklahoma:
Sen. Tom Coburn (R-OK), a new member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, was at last week's meeting on a bill restricting class-action suits. "You know," he said, "I immediately thought about slicone breast implants and the legal wrangling and the class-action suits off that. And I thought I would just share with you what science says today about slicone breast implants. If you have them, you're healthier than if you don't. That is what the ultimate science shows...In fact, there's no science that shows that silicone breast implants are detrimental and, in fact, they make you healthier."

1. Coburn is indeed insane. Loopy. Freaked-out. Scary. And thanks for |

the link; however, I can't think of ANYTHING that would change the "minds" (I use that term loosely) of those who voted for him. His idiocy was already well-known before the election and they elected him anyway. Ah well, I say they'll get what they deserve. I just wish they weren't dragging the rest of us down with them.

2. No doubt he's a kook, but... |

the GOP did a good job of making him the comeback kid. The election was Carson's to lose, which he did. Carson has only a 45% rating in voting with dems, so that goes to show just how much Okies (being a former one myself) vote their "values" rather than their interests.
They will reap what they sow -- national humiliation and embarrassment. As if Inhofe wasn't enough...
