Nancy Riley becomes a Dem
Oklahoma City (AP) - The state Senate gained a Democrat and lost a Republican today.

Senator Nancy Riley says she's switching from the Republican to the Democratic Party because the G-O-P is being taken over by the extreme right wing.

ok, I cannot stand this woman. I went to see her during the last election cycle and wanted to puke. ...but at least she's got one thing going for her now. She's my rep (Tulsa county, distric 80).

1. I'm not sure what to think about this.
Seems like it should be a good thing, so why am I not happy about it?

2. Nancy is actually your senator not your representative...he's worse
Hi Melv,

I live in Glenpool. I wrote to both Riley and Perry for the $3000 pay raise for every teacher. We had to fight Todd Hiett for that...yuck...Hiett...excuse me while I convulse in repulsion. Anyway Nancy voted to give every teacher a pay raise. Of all the republicans I lobbied and wrote to she is the only one who treated me with dignity and respect. But Representative Perry said he didn't need my vote anyway, because he wasn't running for re-election in the fall. But he is now running for County Commissioner! Can you tell me what it was that you didn't like about Nancy? Thanks SG

3. Riley
How anybody can be a teacher in Oklahoma and vote Republican is beyond me. Talk about a conflict of interest. I'm glad she finally switched.
