3. Interesting debate...Coburn is seriously nuts and Carson

is a moderate-conservative Democrat. He fits Oklahoma, and we desperately need that seat, but Carson as senator will be about as popular on DU as Evan Bayh. Carson also strongly supported the Patriot Act, while Coburn expressed unease over some provisions.

Looks like Carson's got the edge at this point.

9. Did you see the debate on MTP?

I think Carson won pretty convincingly. Coburn tried the old reliable "librul, librul, librul" BS and Carson is pretty hard to seriously label with a Ted Kennedy nametag. Carson also did say he would support the Democratic ticket, which was a little surprising.

All in all, I think he'll fit in well with the David Pyror, Evan Bayh, Mary Landrieu wing of the party. It would be a VERY cool pickup!

I started this thread :-) Yes Carson came across as a level-headed moderate ( well, maybe to the right of moderate)
His education certainly shines through. I think Carson is one smart cookie and he will do what it takes to win. If Kerry is elected I bet he won't go off the reservation too much. :evilgrin:
