3. ours did too, Johnson county. My great aunt Sadie walked all the way
to Oregon on the trail, lived to tell family about it and died much
loved in 1959. She said they walked unless sick, ate beans until they could die and watched for snakes. Very interesting lovely woman,
my Aunt Sadie.

5. Great story
My great-great grandparents saved enough money from farming to take the new transcontinental railroad to Sacramento, and caught a boat. They settled near Oregon City.

Aunt Sadie must have been a remarkable woman.

4. 3rd generation Oregonian here
It's hard to find people from Oregon up here in Portland. However I'd rather see a big line of enlightened transplants than a single rural Oregonian redneck...

I have met some wonderful native Oregonians who have told me some great stories since moving here. You're statement above really brought a smile to my face this morning. Thanks.

By the way, I meet these people at the local UMC, but you probably know that already...lots of native Oregonians in Sunday church!
