Hope it doesn't get stolen--lots of rednecks in this part of the state.
Go Ted!

5. A neighbor just emailed me |
|
and asked if I'd be interested in a K sign. It should be up tomorrow. I see lots of Saxton signs in this 'hood.

9. Well, he's a bit like the pillsbury dough boy. |
|
Okay, maybe that isn't the appealing thing.
He's one of Neil Goldscmidt's best buddies. Okay, maybe that isn't so good after all.
Last time he ran, he ran against a right winger and a moderate and positioned himself as a moderate. The moderates split the votes in the primary and the right winger went on to lose by a small margin to Ted. After Saxton lost, he became an occaisonal commentator on the local ABC station. His tag line was "Think About It, I'm Ron Saxton" which pretty much gave him a few years of free name recognition building.
I think the Republicans finally figured they needed someone who at least appeared to be a moderate in order to win the governor's seat. Saxton isn't really that moderate, but because of the way he ran back in 2002, he is viewed as moderate.
His wife works as the Executive Director of The Christie School, which helps children with mental health problems.

7. The poll is by the notoriously unreliable Riley Research |
|
Not that we shouldn't go all out for Ted.
Riley is a right-winger, big time.
