Free Pie on Election Night!

The very comfortable Portland coffee house on SE Hawthorne, Common Grounds, will be giving away a free slice of PIE on election night with purchase of a beverage, in honor of this historic moment in American history and our candidate's love of PIE.

I'll be doing a lot of the baking. Pumpkin, coconut cream, and some other varieties will be available first come first served.

Come on out -- join the fun. Put on a sticker that says DU so I can greet you. I'm not yet sure of the starting time, but I'll post it here tomorrow.

...in his rallies. It started with him talking about John McCain's idea of what a "piece of the pie" is for Americans, and joking about it. Then people started chanting "We Want Pie" at some of his appearances.
