$13.5 million for Coos Bay Rail Link project
DeFazio announced this last night before the debate, although I think Arnie Roblan and other locals were the ones who did most of the heavy lifting on this project. Also no word on whether DeFazio considers this the stimulus "wasteful spending" that he voted against.

• Provide 196 new construction jobs lasting 1.5 years.

• Preserve more than 3,000 rail-dependent jobs in Coos, Douglas and Lane counties.

• Reduce shippers' costs by $45.3 million over 20 years.

• Reduce highway maintenance costs by $12.0 million.

• Reduce net accident costs by $18.9 million.

• Reduce CO2 emissions by 242,106 tons.

• Divert some 25,800 truckloads annually to rail by the year 2031, reducing wear on highways by about 8.5 million truck-miles
