Police Officer Shot, Killed In Penn Hills

PENN HILLS, Pa. -- Allegheny 911 dispatchers confirm that a police officer was shot in Penn Hills.

Channel 11 News learned that the officer died.

This incident occurred just before 9 p.m. Sunday.

The officer was reportedly responding to a call for a domestic dispute on Johnston Road.

Neighbors said they heard shots fired in the area.

The suspect drove away in a dark colored Jeep Cherokee with license plate HFC 6470. Police consider him/her armed and dangerous.

Law enforcement throughout the area will be searching for the suspect.
