Who stole the Bridge?
Edited on Fri Oct-07-11 10:37 PM by happyslug
A bandit, or possibly several, has stolen a privately owned steel bridge from a secluded area in Lawrence County.

The Covert's Crossing bridge in North Beaver Township has been in the area since at least the early 1900s, according to the Lawrence County Historical Society.

State police suspect someone used a torch to tear apart the bridge, which was worth an estimated $100,000, sometime between Sept. 27 and Wednesday.

2. Coverts Crossing Stolen Bridge
This happened not far from my home. Just amazing! Bridge was
the old time iron that's very hard to cut and very heavy!
Road to bridge has been closed a long time due to floods, so
whoever did it had lots of time. Was discovered when a person
brought some pieces to scrapyard and someone saw markings that
Id's it & called police. They went to location and indeed
the whole bridge -gone.Cant wait to find out who, how this
was accomplished!

4. They found the two brothers responsible.
Actually, they were stupid enough to try to sell the metal to a scrapyard and were turned in.

"A" for initiative, but "F" for execution...
