Legislature Moving at Glacier Pace to Solve Funding Needs for Roads and Bridges
Edited on Mon Dec-05-11 02:04 PM by JPZenger
While an increasing number of bridges are being closed or limited in weight, and need nets under them to catch falling pieces of concrete *, our State Legislature is moving at a glacier pace to solve the problem.

* that is the case for a high bridge 1,000 feet from the state capitol, over Cameron Street in Harrisburg.

The Governor set up a Transportation Funding Commission which came up with an excellent report on how to solve the problems. However, the issue is not on the back burner of the legislature, but is not even near the stove.

Meanwhile, Pennsylvania's horrible bridge conditions were featured in a documentary last week on CNBC.
