Anyone noticing Joe Wilson/Michael Ellisor Congressional race |
|
Although you can hardly call it a race.
This is Michael Ellisor's second time to file as a candidate for Representative in the midland area.
I went to the web site which tells who is receiving funding from what source, and discovered that Ellisor hasn't even collected enough money to have to report it.
The first time he ran, in 2004, a higher up in the party told me that "Mike doesn't have a prayer." also said "We are backing Inez Tenenbaum for Senate because she's shoo-in."
Well, Inez didn't shoo in although the State Party gave her all the fund raisers and advertising they could afford, and they didn't even have enough money to pay for their poll workers, requiring volunteers.
I researched Joe Wilson's record of legislation, and he is a do-nothing important, low-profile say nothing as well. He ought to be easy to beat, even in this red state.
I can't understand why the State Party has devoted no effort to fund raising or support for Ellisor. And I still heard from the same higher ups that "Mike can't be taken seriously as a candidate."
So, what is Ellisor? A joke? A pawn? A fool? All Three?

1. Sure wish I could answer your questions |
|
I've been asking them myself.
No way that Mike Ellisor could be more of a pawn, fool, or joke than Joe Wilson. Wilson doesn't seem to have any intellectual basis for his opinions. He just parrots the White House talking points.

2. Ellisor is a sacrificial lamb |
|
I live in Beaufort County, and outside of a few signs along 278, I haven't seen much of anything on him.
Except for a couple of minutes of "free time" he was given on channel 3 out of Savannah.
The guy was embarrassing. Looked at his notes instead of the camera, talked about his family more than anything else and overall displayed the energy and charisma of a potted plant.
I'll vote for him, but incumbent GOP Congressman and Bush rubber stamp Joe Wilson (what a name!) is on his way to another term.
