My, my. . .a "counter"-boycott ordered by pro-rapists
Apparently, the religious Right groups who commandeered the South Dakota state legislature in order to force an anti-abortion law through their Republican lackeys has announced a "counter-boycott" of the state, urging followers to come to South Dakota for vacations this year. Frankly, with a sad economy, I think the state should just turn itself into a Taliban paradise, with plastic jesus streetlights lining city streets and outdoor big screens featuring the 700 Club blaring from every city square.

1. And some interesting LTTEs in the Rapid City newspaper. . .
I would say a large number of the general population is more than upset. . .

2. Yes, they are, indeed;
I've been fascinated with the recent letters to the RCJournal. Even many repubs are upset. And a great many people are furious with the legislature for focusing on "morality" issues rather than actually addressing the REAL issues affecting the state and the lives of its citizens. Even pro-life people are aware of that and are angry. I've really been pleasantly surprised by such reactions here.

3. That's very encouraging!
I hope forward-thinking people statewide aren't afraid to voice their opinions in public forums, such as LTTEs.

Perhaps the threatened boycotts will move more of them to action.
