Anybody else have trouble with WDOD?
During the day I can hear everything fine but at night I can't hear anything. :( Does anybody else have trouble?

1. This may answer your question
http://www.radio-locator.com/cgi-bin/info?call=WDOD&service=AM

AM waves are funny. Many stations' coverage change at night. Some increase, some decrease. Looks like WDOD's coverage area decreases.

2. Yep. I can't pick it up in my house at all so I'm still using the
satellite units when I'm here during the day. I can pick it up well in the car, but others who attended the DFC meeting last night were talking about having difficulty as well. When I was driving home last night I was picking up AAR, but there was a "bleedover" of someone singing sometimes.

3. Dissappointing...
I'm in Monroe County - about halfway between Knoxville & Chattanooga. From the map it appears that even under the best of conditions I won't be able to receive WDOD

:(

4. But...
For those, like me, who can't listen via the radio but might not know about this, not only can you listen online at Air America's offical website at http://www.airamericaradio.com/

(I even bought an "extension cord" of sorts so that I can bring my computer's speakers into different rooms of the house)

you can also go to http://www.airamericaplace.com/archive.php and find recent shows archived. I'm fortunate to have a high-speed internet connection through my cable service, so it only takes a few moments to download a show - I've even put some on CD's to listen to later when I'm not near my computer.

There are also a couple of other sites that archive shows:
http://www.randirhodesarchives.com/ has a couple of weeks of the Randi Rhodes show archived.

The White Rose Society also has shows archived. Some are free to download, some aren't.

5. It does suck
I'm trying to find a stronger radio or something. I have a pocket one I use to take around with me and sometimes I can get it really well in one part of my room. At night I'm mostly online so I can listen live from the site.
