I live in Republican Knox County, TN and my district is about |
|
to have a Democratic sweep! :bounce:
Granted - it's just one district, but I'll have two Dem city council members, two Dem county commissioners and a Dem state House member. That means that my district will be the only predominately "white" district to have an all Dem team. The "black" district in Knox County already has all Dems.
Heck, even the Dem sheriff's candidate is giving the Repub. a run for his money - 51 to 49 percent in favor of the Republican. Those of you who know this area of the state are probably thinking: :wow: because we're soooooo very Republican in Knox County.
I hope this is a sign of things to come.
If you know how Bredesen won, it's a formula: win the west, win the middle and get 50,000 out of the (Republican) east of the state and you've won!!!

...yes, as a life-long Tennessean, most East Tennesseans I know, make the Kool-Aid drinkers look like Liberals. Something about East Tennessee Repugs....it's almost like they're genetically hard-wired that way from birth.
Glad to here you are going to have your own little island of blue in your district...
