The case has been in the courts since 2006 and you can give a big credit to David Van Os who persuaded Texas Civil Rights Project to take the case. And of course NAACP who joined the fight.
All we're asking for is a chance to get heard in the courts. That's all the hearing was about on Tuesday - whether we as voters have any standing to sue the state.
We've been through 3 separate motions to dismiss filed by the SOS and Texas A.G.'s office and won all of those, so naturally they take it to the TX Supremes.
Case won't be decided for months. They can take more than a year to make their ruling.
