Shhh, be vewy vewy quiet
We're about to knock the socks off every prognosticating pundit in the land. While they've been screeching and scratching about the US Congress, Texas is about to kick one perfectly coiffured bum to the curb. Bill White's victory will make jaws drop and eyes bulge. They won't know what to say because they weren't paying attention.

Tomorrow, Texans will elect Bill White and it shall be glorious.

Yeehaw, motherfuckers! :kick:

2. I'll be dancing in the streets
This is still our best chance ever. Even with tea party craziness running rampant.

May the winds of change be at our backs - full speed ahead - out of our darkness!

8. Take heart
Remember, Goodhair won in 2006 with only 39% of the vote. While 30% of the voters went for Chris Bell, another 30% were so ready to dump Perry they cast their votes for Scott McClellen's mom and Kinky Friedman. Texas wanted to rid itself of him four years ago.

I'll concede the possibility that the coyote killer could still win. Anything's possible. If he wins, I'll be quite sad and suspicious, considering all the voter intimidation and other shady shit going on.

I don't like to make such bold predictions because I totally hate being proved wrong. Just the same, I'm predicting a Bill White win. I'm not doing it for the purposes of disseminating positive thoughts. I'm doing it because I think it's a pretty safe bet.

Rick Perry has simply worn out his welcome. Texans, both republican and Democrat, are sick of his face. Whatever dignity or grace he had he completely lost this last year with his stupid secession talk and tea party pandering. What's more, practically every Texas newspaper has endorsed Bill White, including the one in my hometown - a paper that hasn't endorsed a Democrat for governor since 1994.

Ultimately, the reason I posted this OP was because I noticed that for all the attention paid to this year's elections, the national media have virtually ignored our governor's race. (Don't get me wrong, I'm glad they've left us alone.) I wanted to point this out because tomorrow, when White is declared the winner, all those talky talks are going be shocked, shocked I tell you! They're going to use phrases like "out of the blue", "in a surprising upset..." and other similar terms. It will be hilarious to watch and I can't wait.

:)

9. LOL.
I suspect part of it is because Bill isn't quite as "Pretty" as O'connell,Angle and Palin...in other words...normal.how boring.

I can't wait for Bill to win.he will do his best.I have no doubt.

10. Hope you're right! Maybe that's why Slick Rick has decided...
to campaign more in the final days. His camp must have seen that he could be in trouble.

11. If the unthinkable happens and Rick wins...
...I hope to God that his Lt. Governor is Linda Chavez-Thompson!!! She would be free to do the real work while Chicken Rick and Newt travel all over the country promoting his stupid book!
