Anderson Cooper Demolishes Birther Claims In Interview With Texas Rep. Leo Berman (VIDEO)


Anderson Cooper demolished the claims behind the "birther" movement in an interview with Texas State Representative Leo Berman on his Monday show.

Berman is sponsoring a bill to require that all presidential candidates produce a valid birth certificate to get on the presidential ballot in Texas -- a clear reference to the claim that Barack Obama is not a natural-born citizen of the United States, and has falsified his birth records.

The two sparred for over 12 minutes, and Cooper methodically refuted each claim Berman made, from the validity of the birth certificate that the Hawaiian government released to the dates in which Obama traveled to Pakistan.


I am so loving Anderson Cooper taking on the right wing looneys in Texas. First Debbie Riddle and now Leo Berman. :spank: those asses!

Berman is typical of most tea party representative types and especially those in "safe districts". They just repeat stupid talking points they pick up on the internet. And he fiercely denies picking up the information from the internet in the interview.

He's like Michele Bachmann in many ways - he believes anything he sees on a conservative web site or reads from a conservative blogger and is happy to keep parroting the stupidity as truth. And you couldn't convince him of the real truth with facts. If they don't fit his belief system his puny brain just ignores them anyway.

Among other crazy shit. He's introduced an Arizona immigration style bill for Texas.

And re-introduced his infamous repeal of the 14th amendment for Texas (never mind it's a federal law)
Section 1. All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.


He's the king of Texas stupid! :crazy:
