More proof of DeLay's despicableness.
(Is that a word?)

This is a story I have been trying to get the media interested in for a solid year.

Tom DeLay’s home for foster children was a ruse to paint him as a nice guy before his trial. People fell for it and money was wasted like buying pearls for a pig.

Of the 8 houses built, seven stand empty, rotting in the Texas sun for two years. And apparently Tom likes it that way.

1. Thanks for info, I didn't know this but media has ignored this.
I knew he was a sham, even if homes were functioning, but the media needs to print it. Does Tom Delay have his Congressional pension? He probably has no money to operate the homes, his legal fees were paid by moneyed friends. He and his wife stayed in a travel home during his trial, I was surprised at that. I suppose more private than hotel. Basically, he's a red-neck nobody, no education, just monumental ego; I don't know how he got as far as he did. Somebody needs to write a book about the rise & fall of Exterminator Tom.

3. They have.

As far as "redneck," that's not exactly what he was (a) and I've known some good ones (b).

As far as education, frankly I consider myself mostly self educated, even thought I have an M.S. Aren't we all, if we think for ourselves?

As far as "nobody":

I'm nobody! Who are you?
Are you nobody, too?
Then there's a pair of us--don't tell!
They'd banish us, you know.

How dreary to be somebody!
How public, like a frog
To tell your name the livelong day
To an admiring bog!

(I don't want anybody to be beat up in a biased or impersonal way, even Tommy. On a personal basis, I'd be happy to punch him in the snoot, and I'm agin corporal punishment.)

2. "home for foster children was a ruse"
Never doubted it. He's pond scum and he's not above using women and children to advance his career and personal wealth.

:puke:

Oh and despicableness is a perfectly fine word you may coin!

7. Poor old Toxic Tom.
He's broke. Bu$hit. he's spending someone else's money on this court battle. I'll bet he's got assets that aren't discussed in public. I'll bet he's called some powerful people he helped in the past to help him out. But, I'll bet it's coming to a halt in the near future. The last time I saw Hot Tub Tom, he looked as if he had a bad night with the bottle. It couldn't have happened to a more deserving person.

Toxic Tom Delay = maggot.
