Someone help me out here...
Perry was elected because Texas has a great economic climate. We're great for businesses, we're the place people are moving to for jobs and to live on the cheap.

But...how much in the hole are we?

If we're doing so great economically and everything Perry said about us is true, shouldn't we be producing the cash to pay for our budget and not forcing such drastic cuts?

And shouldn't I be seeing TDP leadership heavily on local news yelling loudly about this?

We're going to Hell, aren't we?

1. Perry was reelected only because not enough democrats got out to vote.
If Perry would have been on the ballot in 2012 when we reelect Obama, then Perry would have lost.

2. Surely you can tell we're in the hand basket right?
Yes we're going to hell - and we're on a fast transport there too! :(

4. I've never understood how anyone could think this was a rich state when
2,172,930 or 47.24% of all Texas students are eligible for free or reduced lunches.

Born here, lived here 6 decades and most of it people of modest means acting like owning a color TV makes you rich.

Of course, Perry takes this to the extreme - living in a rental with multiple waterholes and using too much mousse in his hair - he thinks he's rich AND smart!

Well, it is too bad that all those Texas corporations like Exxon who are having record years can't at least pay as much tax as they used to before we "reformed" the business tax.
