On the light side... support a Blue Business in Red Texas
If you live in North East Texas, and have the need to support a Blue business, Please consider sending it Larry's way. He is honest beyond reproach, as blue as they come, and loves to talk. he and his wife are the sole employees of the business. call him a few days in advance, and bring cash/checks (It saves him money to operate this way). I have had 4 vehicles serviced, and drive 70 miles to support his business.(he is letting migrating birds sleep in the roof of his shop...he enjoyed talking about how Global Warming has changed their migration pattern.)

1. Kick for small business - esp a blue one
A couple of years ago there was an effort to identify businesses like this and put out a a "Buy Blue" catalog but I know this did not last. Not even sure where that version even went.

:kick:

4. Great information!
Maybe we should start a "Buy Blue" Texas list.

The only blue companies I know are national: Costco, Progressive Auto Ins., Sonic and Arby's.
