Some of the usual suspects but it's good to get it out there for those across the country that don't know.

11. Bob Perry is the Koch of Texas.
He reliably donates enormous sums to the conservative movement. The only difference is that Koch's companies provide valuable goods and services in their industries. Perry makes his money providing sub-standard housing to unwitting home buyers, so he's more like the Rick Scott of Texas.

13. The original swift boarder - smear king
MSNBC 8/27/04
‘Swift Boat’ backer is major political financier
Texan has deep pockets for conservative causes

HOUSTON — The chief financial backer of Swift Boat Veterans for Truth and its television ad challenging Democratic presidential nominee John Kerry’s military record is a wealthy Texas homebuilder known for his deep pockets and aversion to the limelight.

He pretty much owns every repuke at the Texas Lege.

12. Swiftboaters, naturally
Simmons gave $3 million to the Swift Boat Veterans and Perry gave $1 million.

In 2008, Simmons was the sole funder, to the tune of $3 million, of the American Issues Project, which tried to tie Obama to Bill Ayers. Last year, his Southwest Louisiana Land LLC gave $1 million to Rove's American Crossroads.

Shrub said he got his political start stealing his Dad's Christmas Card list. Do you think Perry did the same, or do you think this is a wholly different list.

6. Some are the same
Some are much, much worse. Perry doesn't have any morals. He would take money from the Taliban if he could hide the source.

10. Check the list out more closely, it's a cesspit of corruption
Edited on Fri Jul-15-11 01:05 PM by Lone_Star_Dem
Not stupidity, but a vile reeking cesspit of corrupt entities looking to further their goals.

The ones of greatest concern to us should be the vast amount who have tentacles reaching far beyond Texas. Those are the ones with enough power and influence to buy media support on a national level. Others there are more a local concern banking on taking their game to a national level riding on Perry's coattails.
