Virginia Named Best-Managed State



Thanks to the leadership of Gov. Mark Warner, Lt. Gov. Tim Kaine and the majority of fiscally responsible legislators, Virginia has been named the best-managed state in America by Governing Magazine's Government Performance Project . Utah and Virginia were the only states to earn an 'A' from GPP's "Grading the States 2005" survey.

1. Give Mark Warner all the credit for this

The legislators are real boobs as can be seen by their obsession with praying, gay marriage and underwear.

IT has gotten ZERO coverage here locally at least as far as I have seen.

4. Yes, first example that comes to mind is how embarrassing it was

to admit to my family in South Dakota and Arizona that some VA Rep. wanted to fine our kids $50 for wearing their jeans too low and their underwear too high.

I think some of our Reps must have too much time on their hands. :eyes:

2. Wasn't there an article just last week about how bad the GA is

I think that that article rated Va's legislature as bad as Texas's. Hmm both with Republican majorities...hmmmmmm

It appears that Governor Warner has the ability to make up for their horrible governance.

7. Yeah, our guy. And he did it with limited funds and the the Gilmore/Enron

budget he inherited the first year. This guy is really something. I'm especially proud to be a Virginia Democrat.
