1. sorry, but I've long since given up on your lovely state |
|
Can't travel there anymore, because they haven't bothered to overturn the laws that basically say that any legal agreement between me and my spouse is invalid.

2. What happened to Virginia? |
|
My wonder years were there back in the late 60's, early 70's. I had a great education in the public schools of Northern Virginia.
And now my bigger question is, with all this shit going down there, how are we supposed to believe that Gov. Mark Warner is a credible progressive candidate for POTUS in '08? What is the dark meat that he must feed the Virginia electorate to be elected in the first place?

3. It Passed In My State yet... |
|
nonetheless many gay ltr's (long term relationships) have here and elsewhere outlasted oftentimes those of "the norm" I've made it 25 years so far and without a wedding band. To me its not the ceremony or public approval that really matter..Those things would be nice but I guess I can live without them because I have lived without them..

4. Yes but what about when one of you becomes... |
|
sick or passes on. Can you visit in the hospital without being immediate family? Can you make arrangements for one another. I would assume that often a gay couple has only each other as their families have abandoned them for their alternative lifestyle.

5. What you say is very true and believe me... |
|
I'm not wealthy and my lover isn't either..We live very close but not together in the same home anymore (sigh)..We both agreed that I needed my own real estate investment for ECONOMIC reasons..He isn't all that well anymore..but if I or he gets killed or dies today, tomorrow or whenever, all legalities, approval polls aside, benefits, accepting families (ha ha), an accepting church (ha ha)..we had each other for REAL and a REAL love if there ever was one! PEACE!

I swear to God, we take one step forward and then we get dragged five steps back.
